Re: Winter Crappie Fishing
I have some buddies that fish Green all winter and sleigh the crappie. FNF is a good crappie method, but I would not suggest it in the winter, I think its a better method when the fish are mid to shallow. When you find crappie in the winter, they are stacked up in deep water. I catch them 30+ in the winter. You need to use your electronics to find deep stucture, of fish ledges if you can find them. Not all spots will hold crappie in the winter, and it can be frustrating looking for them, but if you can find them, you can limit out pretty quick this time of year.
Good luck!!
Re: Winter Crappie Fishing
well Boone, you said any and all comments, if I lived in Jamestown I THINK I say THINK because I'm not in your shoes, that being said I think I would be asking for some of the crapping fisherman that fish (LC) to give me a few tips, I know that the lake has good crappie, late in the fall my friend Dave he's past now, took me crapping fishing we went to the backs of the creeks and through 1/6oz tubes and would slow roll them back and catch them up to 2lb, if they catch them in 30ft of water on Green that were I would start looking on (LC). All that being said I think I'm a little jealous LOL that I don't live that close to all that FNF water, good luck Boone with them crappie know matter what lake you fish JMO
