Just took Maxx out for his evening bathroom break and I couldn't believe how good it felt with just a jacket on! Snow and ice is melting and I can even turn the heat down!! Hmmm Spring is only a few months away....

Actually spring is only two months and six days or so away, not that I'm keeping track or anything. Since this is the off topics board I won't say how much I'm looking forward to hitting the farm pond, fishing for crappie, blue gill and bass, throwing a 9" Zoom MagII or maybe a small crank bait in the early stages, taking my bird dog with me letting her get her nose full of the earth and God's creations. Then as summer approaches and the wife and I are on the lake with the Sea Ray, or hanging around the dock taking in the sites of "God's lovely creations"...Like I said, I'm not going to mention all of that...but I will say I'm looking forward to planting some vegetables, mainly tomato's but this year I want to try out some jalepeno peppers and maybe some habenero peppers too. My goal is to be the "king of salsa" amongst my neighbors, family and friends...I envision making at least three different kinds of salsa and serving them at the same time.
C'mon spring, warm soil and....warmer waters!!
Last weekend of bow season and it is gonna be in the 40's. I envision myself with the longbow, in the woods with his bonus antlerless tag, trying for a new personal record and putting deer number 4 in the deep freeze.
Then it is on to fly fishing for trout in some of the catch and release streams.
I'm totally loving it.
Yea...good day indeed! Got to wash the truck, it's looking good again...had a cigar, life is good!
