Can't wait.......
Man I wish it would get warm so there would be some reports posted -- maybe even some pictures, and stories:rolleyes:. Reading the same old redundant and repetitive stuff over and over is driving me crazy.:(
Maybe I'll take a month hiatus or go AWOL for about a month or so.......

Re: Can't wait.......
I'm the opposite. I wish it would stay cold so I could get several more chances to fish during the real fishing season - winter! ;)
I've barely gotten to fish this winter and it's going to be a long 7-8 months of warm weather dreaming of the cold weather bite if I don't get to fish at least a few more times.

Michael I like you, but I think you are completely NUTS. I need to get you on Cumberland one day in the spring when thy are on that Spinnerbait bite, followed by the topwater spook bite. You'd forget all about that fly for awhile, lol.
But to each his own brother, I know you like that fly, a fella should do what makes him happy. Watching one of them big brown ones bust a Spook does it for me.

Just say the word and I'm there! I didn't say that I didn't like fishing in warm weather, just that I prefer the winter fishing.

Statements like this are not helping me get through the winter. (LOL) For me the winter time is best for checking the rods and reels, stocking up on baits and putting on new line. I also need time to tune up the old boat.

If youre like me youve goofed around with your reels so much you'll be lucky if they even work by the time warmer weather comes :)
Im getting ready to take it up a notch, Im off work until it gets warmer so Im just gonna fish regardless. Last couple years I missed the first big move those females make, not to spawning but positioning on early prespawn structure. Not gonna happen this year, wont be long.

Re: Can't wait.......
the winter is killing me I found to nice ponds this winter to fish, cant wait hardly no one else knows about them they are so hidden. They are both about 10 minutes from the house, you can fish after work and on the weekends hit the river or larger lakes. Walked them there are no signs and no one owns the property, the state owns the property.
