Berkley fireline
I'm thinking about going to BERKLEY FIRELINE Braided on all my reels,, just wondering if anyone has an opinion on it.
I fish a lot below KY and Barkley Dam ,,lot of 1/8 and 1/4 oz jigs,,,fish are one to 5lbs ,,BUT Some times you get a big one 10--15lbs .....so do I need14LB test OR 20 ?/:confused:
20lb test has the diameter of 8 and the 14lb the diameter of 6lb test.
thanks tim

Re: Berkley fireline
I use fireline exclusively on my spinning reels for throwing tubes, jigs, and spoons. I do not use fireline for throwing jerkbaits. I have not tried it on my baitcasters. I love the stuff. I do use a flourocarbon or clear line leader. I also use it in St. Clair lake for smallies and it works as good as any other line. You get so much more distance per cast, and NO Memory.

Re: Berkley fireline
I mainly panfish and have used the 4# for years. Also have it on my baitcasters and heavy spinning reels. I do not like the smoke color though as I am a line watcher. Just remember it has little to no stretch.

Re: Berkley fireline
I love Berkley products but Fireline is not one that I'm fond of for one reason. The diameter to lb test is not as good as other braids like Spiderwire. The diameter for the same lb test is about half the size if you go with Spiderwire.
