Try topwater poppers around the causeway and dam the smallies tear it up for me. Draggin grubs in the main lake will also boat some smallies. I have good luck throwin 1/4 oz jigs to stumps and rocky shores also. There are many ways to fish Brookville, and it took me a couple years to really figure a few things out but I love that lake now. I have been catchin alot of smallmouth out of there the last couple of years which is awesome. Have caught a few in the 5 lb class range so there are some good ones in there. I can give you more in-depth info if you pm me.

I forgot one thing. Tag Knobbe is a guide for walleye, crappie, and striper on Brookville, and he usually has updated fishing reports on his website starting in like march or april.

Thanks phil i appreciate it im gonna shoot you a pm here in a second. I haved tried cranking the causeway, cranking the standing timber by the ramp also have thrown rubber worms around the standing timber, got one smallie on a chartreuse crank but thats it. Never really have messed with the actual dam dam, just to the right of the **** a bit.
Hows the lake right now ice? Water temp? Any luck ever this early in the year? I want to be on the lake NOW.
Thanks Ahead of Time, Kevin

I see you have found "The Dead Sea". Learn how to fish deep. I've discovered the better fish are in the 20ft plus zone.

around the standing timber at all or just out in the mouths of the coves and so on. Ive been told to look deeper like you said instead of the traditional way? Any pointers appreciated.
Thanks, Kevin

My tip...don't go. AHAHHA I haven't had any luck on that lake yet. 2 days of back to back fishing and I still got a skunk. Not one bite!
