Bass are green and black
Skies are periwinkle blue
Walleye are yummy sweet
And so are you
I am just trying to keep you guys out of trouble.
Yeah right. I love walleye as well as anyone but I don't think it's wise to compare one's wife to a fish. I'm going to stick with flowers and dining out.
Okay, thanks for the help. Now, if I can just get that memorized, I'm set.

Thanks Bone. My wife is out of town on some urgent family business and we will not see each other on V day. Still, she's my sweetheart. So, sent her an Email with your little poem.......Well now we will just see how she responds....but I did try to cover my bases and told her I had a little help for the DIX RIVER POET!!!!:rolleyes:
Wife and I used to go fishin alot before kids. They are 3 and 5. Will get back into again.
Should I go out on Valentine day and bring back my wife a fresh caught walleye,sauger crappy,bluegill,snapper,redfish,black sea bass or bass she would be happier than if I brought candy or flowers and Feb. 14 th is also our anniversary, this year will make 51.

No doubt 51 years? That's awesome!! Congrats man...I'm giving Chocolate dipped strawberries and grapes...cause I like them!:) And they always like to share...
Good gesture Bonefish, but I always remember who lets me go fishing -- she supports it. She runs 5Ks and marathons on Saturdays, and I fish tournaments. I'm truly blessed.;)
Already got her taken care of though. She's in a play at our local community theater all weekend long (and next weekend) and we won't see each other very much, so I took her a flower arrangement (tulips -- she hates roses) and a funny card to her today at school (she's a teacher). The look on her face was priceless. If she ever starts to dislike fishing, it's things like that that will keep her support. HA!;)

Same hear kyjake, my lady of 46 years puts up with me releasing fish all year long, bet every now and then I bring home a few KY'S and she sys YOU DA MAN, that gives me a pass for the next year lol, She Da Woman JMO

My woman is not that easy to get along with,getting upset with me for releasing whites and hybrids which I don't like but she does.Going to turn a new leaf and bring her more of them in the future.

congrats to you jake and floatman mine has put up with me for almost 24! i pray we get to 46 or 51 she puts up with alot! my hobbies/ habits/ personality! i don't know how she does it! sometimes i don't like me!
