Late May/Early June
Hi all,
I'm from Indiana and am going to be planning a big camping/fishing/atv trip and thinking about land between the lakes. I'm thinking 20-30 people. Where would be the best place to camp, on the water, where we can be loud and obnoxious and not bother anyone?

Re: Late May/Early June
There are a lot of nice campgrounds in LBL and what is makes them so nice is that the camp sites are not on top of one another. On KY lake Rushing creek is isolated in itself and one of my favorites. Fenton, Sugar bay, and Hilman Ferry are all good options on KY too. On the Barkley side Energy lake is my favorite. As far as 20 or 30 people getting loud and obnoxious I am not sure any of these campgrounds would suite. They are patrolled by rangers or have one stationed there and they will clamp down on such behavior. If you have to be that way you might want to consider one of the back country campsites where you guys can be off by yourselves. You have to sign up for them at Golden pond and I am sure you can find a list of sites online though I have never camped in one myself...

Re: Late May/Early June
You need to check the rules for ATV's on LBL!! This might narrow down as to where you stay

Here is a link to the OHV area on the LBL...you can find the info about trails for ATV's and also camping info for that area:

Re: Late May/Early June
Thanks guys. Yeah, it will be a big crowd and the last thing i want to do is disturb families who are trying to enjoy the outdoors. We are responsible and clean up etc...but dang it we like our beer and can get loud.
