Re: Sister-in-law is moving
Way to go, Tyme!! Dear Abby frequently said that "no one can take advantage of you witout your permission."

Re: Sister-in-law is moving
SIL is moving because her electric bill is too high for heating the place she rents from now. That's section 8 with heating assistance thrown in!!. She keeps the thermostat set at 80 so her granddaughter she occasionally baby sits for doesn't get cold when crawling on the floor.
This is her 8th move in the last 5 years or so. It's ridiculous the number of times she has moved.
Why I am complaining. Because every **** time she expects me and my truck and labor to be provided for free because we're "family."
Well sorry Sis, I'll be out of town this weekend or any other day you plan on moving. She contacted U-haul and thought $100.00 for a rental was too much. Well after the gas I'd use and wear and tear on my truck, she better grab that rental deal as I'm done with this crap.
End of Rant. Thanks, I feel better now.:)
I guess her moving in with you is out of the question?

Been there, done that many years ago. Never again.
Since my "I'm officially poor" thread, whenever they ask me for money I'll just compare tax forms with theirs and then say, Can you give me money??:D
Re: Sister-in-law is moving
8 MOVES IN 5 YEARS (60 MONTHS) = 7 MONTHS PER STAY AVERAGESo if she moves in don't worry, she'll be gone soon:)
GO AHEAD AND MOVE HER THIS LAST TIME.You are too kind sir, been way to careful. This time, drop stuff, recommend a move on a day it rains, and hit a couple pot holes to bounce some stuff out the truck. Beleive me, it works! 28 years ago, I was being nice and tried to do the laundry. Was doing the wifes danties (undies bottoms and lacey tops). Well, the washer stuck in the spin cycle while I was out mowing the lawn for 2 hours. All 13 bras and 16 pairs of undies ended up all tied up into one big wet KNOT. Yes, I did get my ARSE kicked:(,
BUT, I WAS NEVER ALLOWED TO DO ANY.....ANY, NONE WHATSOEVER LAUNDRY CHORES AGAIN:)
So.... go forth.......and DON'T be careful.
Re: Sister-in-law is moving
Good for you Tyme. Be strong. Your wife's family have to catch on soon, right?

Hurricanebob: you always have a quick and insightful reply. :D
What my low life in-laws fail to accept is that since my quitirement these same people on total disabilities, etc make more money now then I do.
I attempted to calculate saved funds and expenditures over 20 years. My calculations did not include their needs ands requests.
The cash cow from Tyme has been closed.
