On 21 Feb, am I reading this right....US Men's Hockey Team beats the Candians 5 to 3? Isn't that kinda like the Chinese making better pizza than Italians? Or Russians making better hot dogs than Americans? Go figure.

Yes Bob you read right! That was a sad game.:( However tonight we made up for that and beat the Russians 7-3. Those commies play a tough physical game but our boys held out and won. Nothing feels better than beating the Russians!! Happy days are here again!!:D
In the pregame, one of the commentators said the only way USA would win was if goalie Ryan Miller played "unconscious." Well, he did just that. Canada outshot the USA team 45-23, but he just kept stopping everything, plus USA's defensemen kept laying out their bodies to block shots. You hear people talk about "leaving it all out there," well our guys truly did that. It was a great game to watch, I was on the edge of my seat right till the end, because no lead is ever safe against Canada.
Stay tuned. The way things are shaping up, we could well end up playing Canada for the Gold Medal on Sunday! Which, by the way, is exactly what's happening tonight in Women's Hockey. This will probably be the one and only competitive game either of our women's teams play this year, which is kind of sad.

Hey Bob, thanks for the pics of our women's hockey team. We are very proud of our ladies this year.:D
I know the Team USA Goalie, Ryan Miller, quite well. I've been freinds with his family for about 5 years now. All I can say is the team has some of the best NHL talent around.
USA USA USA!!!
We play Finland today at noon. Canada plays Slovakia at 6:30. Winners of those games play for the gold on Sunday, losers play for the bronze tomorrow. I know what I'M watching today!
Oh, that''s noon PST, 3:00 our time. Duh.
Hey Road Toad, wanna make a little wager on todays game. To be honest, I will be happy for US if you folks win cuz we are sister countries and both make up North America and need to stick together. I will be even happier if we can make this happen on our own soil. As long as the Russians didnt win which they didnt then I am happy. Rah rah rah Canada lets make this happen. Its going to be a very close game.:)

This is the first time I have seen Ryan Miller play and I am very impressed with his skills. He is cool, calm and collected and keeps his team anchored. He is a great goalie. I think he plays for the Buffalo Sabres but after being in the Olympics he should be able to pick whatever team he wants to play for now especially if the US wins today.
What the heck is Hockey? Did they invent this sport so middle sized white guys could be athletes?
Just having fun Gills, please do not hurt me!
Overtime USA, USA, USA! LOL, I am really getting into this and don't even know much about what I am watching!
