Re: windshield on my boat.
What kind of boat is it? Do you have a picture?
Re: windshield on my boat.
You should be able to take them off with no problems.
Re: windshield on my boat.
my boat is a fish and ski 1988 dyna-track and would it mess up the boat if i took all the windows off. i just thought instead of paying money to fisx it i could take them all off plus it will give me more casting room it will open the boat up more.
Re: windshield on my boat.
I had a Fish and ski a few years back and (same thing) I kept hooking the windshield on my back cast. I took both windshields off and it made the boat a lot more fishable. Did this with an older bass boat at had at another time too.
I would probably get a price from an automotive glass company to replace your glass so I knew how much it would cost. (They can usually cut and fit most flat glass). After I priced it or got is replaced I would remove the windshield and fish. When I was ready to sell the boat, I'd put it back on.

I have a walleye type boat with walkthru windshield. The widshield was a very important consideration in the purchase. The boat is so much more comfortable in cold weather and even cool night operation. I would fix mine if it were to break.
Re: windshield on my boat.
The flat glass is very easy to replace. I had the front replaced for $40 at an automotive shop.
Re: windshield on my boat.
I have an 86 fish and ski. The first thing I did when I got it was take the windshield off. Much less clostrophobic that way.
