Nolin Lake 3/1/10
Zero....that's right, Zero bites. The first time I've been skunked in a long time. Fished in Dog Creek, Conoloway, Red Rock, and the beach at Briar Creek. I guess it's a good thing I was mostly testing out a new boat and marking some spots on the GPS, because it would've been a wasted trip. I talked to a few other boats that were Crappie fishing and the most they had was 5 keepers. Didn't feel too bad after talking to 2 other bass fisherman who blanked out too. Warmest water I found was 41 degrees. Sorry for the bad news folks. C'mon Spring Time.

That sounds like my day at Rough on Sunday. Took advantage of the time and did some GPSing myself.

As stated earlier the warmest water temp i found was 41 deg. The water was fairly clear. I wouldn't call it stained, maybe a little dingy but not as clear as usual.

Re: Nolin Lake 3/1/10

Re: Nolin Lake 3/1/10
Bacon creek is the only usable ramp up the river with the lake down. Most walk the banks up at Broad Ford.

Re: Nolin Lake 3/1/10
I don't think theres enough water at the Bacon Creek ramp to launch right now. Everyone Ive talked too have been bank walking from Broad Ford Bridge down.

Re: Nolin Lake 3/1/10
You can still put a boat in at the ramp but in the winter it must be a small boat as in a jon. There is deep water down the river from the ramp that is where I fish when I go there in the winter for eyes.
