My buddies and I are thinking about taking a trip to Reelfoot this spring. None of us have ever been there. Can you guys give some reccomendations for where to stay preferably as close to the lake as possible, who has the best boat rental, accomodations, best time to go, etc...Thanks.
Google reel foot lake fishing and it will give you a list of the resorts, prices and pictures of them most all of them are on the water, best is Blue bank after that their pretty close to the same good people down there, I duck hunt down there four or five times a season.
I like Eagles nest resort. We have stayed there many years and they have some great cabins and packages. Second and third week of May has always been good fishin for us
About the second week in May will catch the bluegill spawn, thats my favorite time. Bluebank Resort is pretty nice, right on the lake. Google will bring up a world of info. Good luck, be careful and have fun!
The full moon of April or May. I have stayed at Eagles Nest many times and they have as good or better accomadations, boats, deal, etc.
