Need help for bad odor in my boat.
I went fishing Thursday on the Ohio river. Water temperature was 38.7. We were attempting to catch some sauger and tried various places to no avail. Now, after the first fishing trip of 2010 my boat has this terrible SKUNK odor in it.
I guess the only remedy is to try again and maybe the "skunk" odor will leave my boat!!
It's called fishing, not catching.:D
Re: Need help for bad odor in my boat.
Open boxes of Baking Soda. They also make a product that absorbes odors that you can purchase. The name alludes me right now but research it online, I know Gary Sullivan swears by it on his talk show on WHAS radio on Saturday mornings.

mhall, you missed the irony in my post. We didn't catch a dang thing and got skunked, hence the "odor" in the boat. But thanks anyway if you really thought I had a problem.

I just re-read it and it's as plain as the nose on my face, lol. Can you tell I've got alot on my mind or what?

No, I think you were right the first time. But I have found a 12 pack of Budlight works better than the baking soda. :)
Re: Need help for bad odor in my boat.
Don't know if this will help or not, haven't took boat out yet but have the stink from sauger fishing all over me after a couple trips. Some fellows using minnows have been catching limits or near limits with an occasional walleye. They are probably in the deeper water but should be moving in a little closer when the water starts warming.Am going to try it again tomorrow in the Greenup tailwaters with jigs and twister tails.
