I know this has been posted before, but I get confused about some things: when & what applications is it best (or good) to use Flurocarban line? I have some but I have only used it for leaders on my Carolina Rigs and I am wondering if I might be missing out on some other good times to use it.

I really think a lot of it is personal prefrence, but fluorocarbon sinks so use it on lures you want to try and keep down. I use it for all my crankbaits, I use it for a main line on carolina rigs but not the leader, it sinks so I use mono for carolina leaders to help the action of my lure. I like it on my jig rod because it is low stretch, some guys like braid for this but I don't like braid period. fluorocarbon isn't a good choice for topwater for obvious reason (sinks). Just use it for different situations and see what you like for, I think you'll use it quite a bit, the stuff is real sensitive.
I love it for all my jigs and worms ect. That is about it.
I like using it for leader material, just for the invisible aspect. Bought my first spool of Seaguar(sp?) today. Hope it lives up to the hype. Best fluoro I can remember using 15 - 20 yrs ago was Bass Pro brand. Seems like at that time it was cheaper than most other line. May be my "good ol' days" blinders I sometimes have on.
I pretty much only use it on my deep jigs and deep crank baits and a few other things. I really think it is a little more sensitive, and alot less visible. But not many of the lakes I fish are clear enough to see the true benefits of it. It definitely has it drawbacks. Alot more prone to breaking. You can take 25 pound flour and get the smallest kink or knick in it, and it is only as strong as as about 4 pound line. I have caught alot of fish on it, but I have broke off about 5 times as many on it as other lines. I stick to a good copolymer line for most applications. Used to use only Gamma, and loved it, but can't find bulk spools of it anymore, so I am using P-line CX now.
But if you were dead set on using it Seaguar Invis-x is the best I have used (I have tried them all), and you can use it on pretty much everything excluding top-water. There are some other good brands, but you get what you pay for, which means if you want a quality line you will have to shell out some dough for it.
Its personal preference. I have been using braid since the day it came out.Have tried flouro, but went back to braid.Its on most of my rods, bait casting, spinning, and trolling, and I use sea gar as a leader.Except for suface baits.

I like what Smuckey said. I agree totally with him. I use flouro with everything but top water. With top water I use mono and braid.
I have broken off so many times with fluro it has gotten me completly gunshy. What do you guys recommend? I actually had a day where I broke off twice with vanish (2 differnt spools) and once with stren Fluro. All on hookset. I got back to the ramp and stripped 4 reels in the lot.

two things is you dont have to do a bill dance hook set since their is no stretch, and you can also set your drag if you do a hard hook set your drag will strip to keep from breaking, but the main thing is dont use vanish i would break on hook sets all the time. now i use p-line fluoro clear or i use p-line halo and p-line 100% fluorocarbon. no proublems ever since and i like to use the KVD line and lure conditioner. hope this helps.
Thanks for the info, guys. I was at Bass Pro Shops yesterday and bought some BPS brand Fluor. It was on sale (buy two--get one free) so i stocked up. I am going to give it a try on my Jigs, worms, tubes and other bottom bouncer stuff.
BTW, BPS was crowded by not near as bad as i thought it might be for a big sale weekend.
