Re: Goodens from the pond

Re: Goodens from the pond
Heck man that counts in my book!:) i'm sure it felt great...
Re: Goodens from the pond
It counts in my book. I wish I had access to a pond on a regular basis that I could fish.
Re: Goodens from the pond
mhall,
Let em count man! I have a little spot out near the farm I grew up on that I frequent often during the spring and summer. The landowner is a longtime family friend and there are some absolute toads in the pond. I like to go down there to get back in touch with being a kid sometimes. Lots of memories with my dad at that pond. I wish he was still around to go with me. I like to call it my hidden bass mecca.
I know pond fishing doesn't count but I whacked a couple of fatties yesterday evening. Had one well over 4lb and one 3 plus. One other dink and lost two that were at least in the three range. Rattletrap in shallow water, they are starting to chase baits now.
If private ponds/lakes don't count, they I have to scratch off my two largest LMs! :o Sounded like fun! Take care.

Re: Goodens from the pond
I agree!! I was raised fishing nothing but farm ponds because they were close to the house. I fortunately had access to about ten ponds and the biggest fish i have ever caught came from them. Some of my friends have said those fish don't count but i don't agree. I don't care where they come, if you catch em legally they count!! I am thankful everyday for the experiences and fish my grandfather and i shared at those holes of water!
