State Record Bass Caught And Released
here is something, that some of you anglers may like. I hope so anyway. back in 1954 the tennessee state record bass was caught. it's weight was 14-pounds and 8-ounces. and every one has been thinking, their must not be another bass in tennessee that big. if their was, surely someone would have caught it by now. it's been 55 years. so the record will never be broken. but two weeks ago, the TWRA Biologists were conducting their routine electro-shocking test. on a little lake, 167 acres called browns creek lake. located in henderson county, in natchez trace state park. and they shocked up a 28" long large mouth bass that weighed 16-pounds and 15-ounces, after weighing and measuring it. they took samples of it's scales and released it. if someone had caught that on a rod and reel, it would have busted the 55 year old record big time. so this gives me hope, that somewhere on Cumberland down around Indian creek, or the mouth of Beaver, or maybe up around the cliff walls at harmon creek. that big old lady fish with the Beautiful BROWN Tan, is just waiting for the right offering. so she can show her stuff.:):):)
