If you didn't know . . .

Our country is in dire trouble and the government is totally incapable of doing anything right OR CHEAP!!

I received my 2010 Census form around the 15 of March. I filled it out and put it in the next day's outgoing mail at the Post office. Today i received a second Census form and a letter threatening me with being visited by an in person Cusnsus taker if I failed to complete it anD return it right away. The date used in the Census is 1 April 2010, so I wonder how many people waited until today to fill out the form and send it in. Since the effective date on the form is 1 April, I wonder why they are in such a hurry to believe that I have not responded. It just amazes me!!

I have received AT LEAST four postcards telling me how important the Census is and telling me I must complete it, so I suspect that this is a standard followup they are sending to everyone. Either way, with all of the mailings and the TV commercials, etc. the expense of this thing is way out of hand AND WE ARE PAYING FOR IT LIKE EVERHTYING ELSE.

I can't wait for November.

GRUMPY. As you know I work for the state of Ky, my clients have called me and said that they have received muptile letters stating the same things, ie; they have been approved or denied or etc. It is unbelivable how much that the state and fed gov spemds on postage, we send out so many excess mailings a mth that I cannot see why the post office is hurting. The government does not run on common sense, after 10 yrs of service to this state I see why the state is broke and it is not from giving us any raises, we have not had any raise in 6 yrs, except a 1%, an dnow that is gone, but the legaslotors get their raise and so do the higher dept heads etc. Yes Grumpy the gov loves to waste money.

not only do they send out multiple mailings but they were running tv ads about it seemed every other commercial. i think the old saying says it best! YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!!! and i cannot wait for November either!
