Nolin 4/12
I'm headed to Nolin on Monday with a buddy of mine. This is the first time either of us have been on this lake and I would be grateful for any advice- not where your honey holes are, just general advice;). The plan is to put in at Ponderosa. I'll post when we get back.
Thanks

Re: Nolin 4/12
I was down this past weekend and bass were pretty active. We were catching them on crankbaits but I saw other fisherman catching them on worms/jigs as well. Had a trophy on all the way to the boat but broke my line as I was waiting on the net. Had to be at least a 6.5-7 lber. We had to go through alot of smaller fish before we caught some good ones though. We just beat the banks and points. Fish seemed to be around wood and rock that we found. Hope this helps.

Re: Nolin 4/12
Nolin really sounds like it is hot!!!! I have been going down there since I was 2 years old and am now 43 and never heard these type of fish coming from this lake.
I would try baby brush hogs(watermelon/red flake), jigs, and shad raps. I have done good in Conoloway and Red Rock in the years past. Also, don't forget about going up river above wax...

Re: Nolin 4/12
He had to work on his house, but managed to fish some and fished friday and saturday. He said it was slow and other people on the water were reporting the same. Maybe the cold front messed them up. I caught some small ones on worms, but some of the guys talked about throwing crankbaits.... If would go up in the river and try channel banks leading into the flats.
