Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
I like your new avatar much much better. A real man won, I think Woody said it would be over by Saturday afternoon with Tiger spanking the field.................................................Not. Tied for fourth,.......... Yawn...................
Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
Tiger had every opportunity to take it over, but didn't make the putts to do it.
And Phil's monstrosity -5 in 3 holes .....WOW!
Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
Phil is very likable to me. He is humble and doesn't seem to be part of this ME generation. Also playing for such a noble cause and one so dear to him and his family is a great human interest story, I loved it. The better MAN won!

I said it would be over by Saturday, first to admit it. But it proves again that not only is Tiger Woods the best golfer EVER but also the best Athlete relatively speaking EVER. 144 day layoff, with the ENTIRE WORLD watching, no competitve rounds this year and loses by 5 strokes. 3 over thru 5 holes during Sunday's round and EVERY OTHER GOLFER - Past Present and Future would have folded up the tent and headed to the house with plenty of built in excuses, but not him. He shoots 6 under the last 13 holes. Don't approve of what he did and never will approve of what he did. Strictly Golfing ability only, he proved once again that he is the best ever. Great feel good story with Phil winning but everyone knows that time and time again Phil has had opportunities to beat Tiger and he does not get the job done with any sort of consistency. How many other golfers on earth past present and future could have finished in the top 5 of the masters facing all the adversity that Tiger did this week (yes he caused the adversity - but adversity none the less). Mentally - the toughest athlete hands down EVER.
Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
It's ironic that a man who stood by his wife won and a man who cheated on his wife time and time again didn't. Tiger will get his wins again they are coming but he will never get his honor back.

Best GOLFER ever, I'll give you that. Best ATHLETE I disagree with. In my book, that's Jim Thorpe, hands down.

You cannot be serious. Ever heard of Michael Jordan? Three titles, leaves the game for 1 1/2 years and came back and won three more titles. I am a Tiger fan, but c'mon......
Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
I misunderstood I thought you were going to leave it up until he won a major!
Re: Okay A deal's a deal...
Michale Jordan, Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Pele, all the best in the world at their sports, and all have some who would call them the greatest athlete ever. I just think it's Jim Thorpe because he played football, baseball, AND basketball, all at the professional level, and while winning the gold medal in decathlon, set world records that endured for decades, all way before there was any such thing as "sports technology."
