Guist Creek again
Fishing guist in the morning hoping the incoming front will turn on those hogs in the lake. My guess is I will only be practicing my cast for a few hours.
Its pretty funny, after every trip there I tell myself not to go back. But here I go again.
Game plan: Flip shallow brush in back of creek and the river.
Will post results when I return for those interested.

I was looking back to see if I could find a post from last year, that told of a real good trip, seems to me that they way up Geist creek and found some real good fish, I could not find that post but I remember thinking that I wish I would have tried that on my trip, if I were going I think I would go as far up the creek as I could and fish mt way out. Re: guist creek help

I dont mean to sound negative but I would never go there again if my life depended on it. Its about a 340 acre lake with tons of fishing pressure. Its very hard on most days to even catch just one fish.
I would suggest taking him to Elmer Davis Lake. Its not too far away and there is a ton of bass in it. This time of year is great for catching some of those big ones you hear about.
Just google it to get directions. I live in louisville and it only takes me about 40 minutes or so to get there. Your son will have a blast if the conditions are right. Much better time than guist creek any day.
LOL I do the same thing, I think it's a part of bass fishing to try to beat rejection hahaha
what ever you do let us know

Re: Guist Creek again
Well I went and fished for about 4 hours with only two bites. Water temp up in the creek was 70 and 68 by the dam.
I only seen one bass on the nest in the cove by the dam and tons of carp in the creek.
Last year I did venture way up the in the creek and found a spot that went from about 3 ft to about 7 ft. Did not catch any there either.
It licked me again!
