I have been told by a couple of sources that the Crappie are on at Green River right now. Anyone else have any insight on this? Will the scattered storms moving in this coming weekend shut them down? Please advise. Thanks

They were on fire April 6-10th..... We caught over 100, not sure how they are hitting right now.

Thanks[/QUOTE]As long as there is not a frontal passage the storms and cloudy weather should be an asset to fishing especially since GRL is unusually clear for this time of year. Some of the best fishing I've had on Green has been before or after storms. Just be sure to take cover well before a storm hits. If it's steady or intermittent rain showers I'd be sure to be in there fishing all I could regardless of the species I was interested in catching. Good luck.
Thanks for the info. I use to live in Columbia but haven't been down to GRL for 10 years.
Hit green yesterday, 4 of us probably caught close to 100 crappie. Out of those, 9 were keepers. Fished mainly in pulm creek i think (only fished green twice). My girlfriend caught way more fished than i did, mainly due to me trying to catch a bass. Ended up with one small kentucky and a goggle eye both on crankbait. What happened to those 20 lb bags being caught and those upper digit fish everyone's been talking about?
Just head up river to the boat jam. You can't miss it.
Fished it last Friday most fish were n about 5ft of water up n Robinson creek.
