Bluegrass 4/23
Bluegrass was on fire today from about 10 til 2. Caught about 20 bass. 4 over 18" but they were all 3 to 3.5#. I lost one at the boat that was at least 4.5# which really made me mad. There were a couple other boats out that were hammering them too. Not even a single nibble on cranks and rattles yet again. I did snap a loomis which made me shed a tear but you gotta love American legacy. Went in and they didn't have the same rod in stock so they told me to pick out another for free. Just had to pay the $25 warranty fee. Now that's customer service! I guess a extra fast tip isn't made to set the hook when you're throwing 1oz sinkers punching grass beds. The biggest of the day came doing this. I thought it was a whale til I saw the 5 pounds of grass wrapped around it.

Re: Bluegrass 4/23
It got good there when the clouds rolled thru. i didnt fish bluegrass but i did fish a pit in the area and i was catching them on topwater every cast, i was loving every second of it even tho they were all small. Were most of the fish you caught postspawn? The ponds and small lakes ive been fishin this week have balls of fry on the banks.

Re: Bluegrass 4/23
Justin can you launch a 20ft stratos on Bluegrass and is there a hp limit? Thanks

Re: Bluegrass 4/23
Sorry, I'm not Justin, but you can easily launch a 20' statos on Bluegrass. There is no HP limit but you are limited to idle speed.....

Re: Bluegrass 4/23
They were all post spawn. As for launching a 20' sure. Just be super careful the end of the ramp now has a 1.5 to 2' drop where they have blown the gravel out once again. I hate people who back down all the way on a ramp and still power load!!! Should be fixed within a couple weeks from what I was told. It is idle speed only but that's perfect for a lake that size. Good luck and let me know if you need some help out there.
