Jericho Lake
Good Evening,
I have recently moved to Smithfield. Jericho Lake is a local lake that provides us with a local opportunity to fish with out making long trips (Great for the kids) I was wondering about the bass quality...any success stories out there?

I've heard there's reports of a big guy in a 14-15 ft jon boat that has been slaying the bass and bluegill out there the last few weeks.

Re: Jericho Lake
Fished it about 5 times this spring, Posted about one trip on pg. 13, it's close I enjoy fishing there for a few hours periodically. Not a lot of pressure and theres usually only 3 or 4 boats on the water during the week, and they are usually crappie fishing. Several 5lbs + have been caught this spring, I've caught several in the 3lb range this year. Mostly jigs/trailers. Hope this helps!

Re: Jericho Lake
I can't speak to the bass QUALITY, but I think it's the only lake I've fished more than once and never been shut out. And I think it'd be a great place to take kids. It's a nice, quiet spot, and once in a while you get some great nature scenes. The woods around it are full of deer. I once saw a buck come running out of the woods, dive into the water, swim about 10 yards out, then turn around and swim back then disappear back into the woods.
