cumberland walleye
I went to cumberland last night, no shad activity at all. fished channel side with no luck. around 1:am moved to a stump bed on a shallow flat. fished to 4:am hooked 8 walleye and one striper they were up shallow, the black and gray sliver was the ticket. the water temp was 62.7 :)

the cold weather will stop the shad from surfacing, so the top bite will be slow. but the walleye will feed just under the surface.leave the top water lures in the box, and try a little mac, or the small sliver, or the suspended rattling rogue. slow is the key. last wednesday night I got the bite, on the river channel side. on the little mac. this monday night, the small sliver and the suspended rogue in 3or 4 ft in a flat with a lot of stumps. hope this helps. I think the full moon will make the walleye bite better.:)
