KY Derby PP Draw....Are you serious....
Lookin at Lucky 3-1 morning line fav, gets the 1 hole and Sidneys Candy 5-1 second choice gets the 20 hole, everyone else boxcar odds. Never seen a derby where only 2 horses are morning line less than 10-1 and never seen a derby where the top 2 choices are inside and outside post. Add in Muddy or Sloppy track where speed holds and there are a couple of cheap speed horses in the field, Good Luck for anyone putting any coin on this derby, won't be ME.

Still sticking with Ice Box. Look at his second win; he was never more than 1 3/4 lengths off the lead, so I don't think he has to be a "downtown closer." Actually, looking at the comments on his last two, I don't think they really wanted him to be that far back. Plus he spent the winter at Gulfstream. Even if he never RAN in the mud, he sure had to TRAIN in it plenty! He's not been over-raced (unlike Lookin At Lucky), and seems to be a horse on the improve. I just hope he goes off at long enough odds to make my $5 win/$20 show worthwhile. If not, I'll probably wheel him top and bottom in the exacta for a buck and hope me matches up with some long shot.

Elnut, got a ? There has to be 6 horses in a race to do a superfecta, How many horses can I put in a superfecta box? 4,5 or all 6? Also, let's say it is a 10 or 20 horse field what is the max you can put in a superfecta box on them?

Russman, you can put as many horses in a box AS YOU CAN AFFORD!!
A $1.00 Superfecta Box on 10 horses would cost $5,040.00.

Grumpy, Ok I can't afford nothing like that. If I bet a 10 cent superfecta box on 10 horses what would that be? I was thinking $24. Also, If I bet a race that has six horses in it and I do a 10 cent superfecta box, would that cost $7.20? How do you come about figureing this out if I'm wrong?

First off, Churchill DOES NOT have a .10 Superfecta, the minimum is $1.00. A $1 six horse Super would be $360.00 or, for a track that has .10 cent Supers it would be ten percent of that or $36.00.
I am terrible at Math but I have an Exotic Wager Calculator on my computer. That is the only way I can figure these things.

I know they've had it at regular spring meets, maybe they just won't have it for the Derby????You're definitely correct as far as the money is concerned...a six horse $1 dollar super would cost $360 bucks....and a .10 cent super would cost $36 bucks. You have to remember though...a $1 dollar super only gets you half the winnings....and a .10 cent super only gets you 10% of half (I think).

"NOTE: Trifecta and Superfecta wagering on all races that qualify under Kentucky statutes. Daily Double and Super High-5 wagers are $1 minimum straight bets. On Oaks Day and Derby Day the Superfecta is a $1.00 minimum wager. Trifecta, Pick-3 and Pick-4 wagers are $.50 minimum straight bets. The Pick-6 is a $2 minimum wager. The Exacta is a $2.00 minimum straight bet with $1.00 boxes and wheels."

When I want to bet a Super, which is not often, I have a simple, inexpensive way that I like and when there is a $1 minimum I use it for lonly $16.00.

Also, you can mix up the order, provided you use the same amount of number in each line, e.g.

Practice with it sometime, it works out pretty good.
