Vegetarian blue cat?
I fished Boltz Lake today (Grant County in Northern Kentucky), focusing on largemouth bass. Caught a handful of dinks and one about three pounds on a lizard. Right before I left, I was pitching a fluke and got short-lined by a blue cat that was about 6 pounds. Took it home and cleaned it and was amazed at the contents of its stomach. I actually thought it was a female about to burst with roe, but instead, it's belly was jam-packed with moss! No baitfish, no crawdads, no animal life at all - just moss! I've never seen anything like this before. Can someone explain this to me?

Never seen it before myself. But maybe just like us eating greens keeps you clean inside. :D

Hairball, how was the water conditions? I live 10 minutes from Boltz and have not been by to look. May try fishin it this weekend. I am not worried about the front coming in. I just need to be on the water. Catching fish will just be a bonus.

Water was running over the spillway at a pretty good clip, but it wasn't especially muddy. Boltz has always been the clearest lake in Northern Ky. Surface temp was 62 in the AM to upper 60s in the afternoon.
