Noticed they (?) have closed Ray Mann Road (Wolf Creek Dam Area), just after it forks (left fork) to go down to the Cumberland River. Sign says Road Closed...., there is a pile of dirt across the road....., and a deep trench has been cut through the road bed...... Not clear what is going on, or why :confused::confused: ?? Wonder if they did this for safety reasons?
Has anyone heard anything?....Is this going to be permanent?
It has been that way since the great flood last week. The creek washed out the bank that is on the right side going down the hill. Up to the very edge of the gravel road. Do not know if they will ever repair it or not ??? An engineer told me that they could get the money to fix it if the right people applied for it in time with the proper paperwork filled out. The same people dropped the ball on the paperwork a couple of years ago ! So, Who knows ??? :confused:
Since this was a free launch area to the public. The corps might not be too excited about repairing it ??? When there is a launch fee at the dam that brings them in revenue. JMHO ! :confused:
Rock, thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about the washout. When the water was down (2008), I would often drive down to the river bed, and then do some wading....Now looks, like I (we) may have to take a little hike to get there :D.
Sure hope the COE makes the necessary repairs :rolleyes:.

Yes me too Boone ! That is the Mrs favorite place to fish ! But on the upside, Maybe it will cut down on the traffic !
