ONeil / Cavs
Don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the Celtics, Cavaliers series but one thing comes to mind. Shack has not paid off for them at all and it's time he hung it up. There comes a time in a sports person's career when it's just time to say goodbye, I'm afraid his is here in my opinion.
Also has Rajon Rhonda become a star or what. The guy just keeps getting better and better.
Good thing Tubby couldn't find or acknowledge talent, lol.

Re: ONeil / Cavs
Yep I feel the same way about Shaq. He is just looking for a team to ride out his career with. He went to the Cavs thinking Lebron and him were gonna be the duo he had with Kobe and Wade...not gonna happen he is too old.
I been watching this series and the NBA as a whole (east) since this is good basketball season as far as the NBA goes.
Looks like Lebron better come out tonight with some serious stuff or he is gonna be tagged as a quitter. I don't agree with it but thats the junk that gets said.

Re: ONeil / Cavs
That's the one thing that burnt me up about Tubby....RONDO....He's unreal...
Shaq's minutes need better management.
Game at 8pm tonight, live from the MANCAVE.......

Re: ONeil / Cavs
The Cavs bite. And Shaq is not the reason. Nor is it his problem or burden. He's got his. And, he did all his old body could do in their last losing effort to Boston. I agree with the above post that his minutes could be managed better, but I'm sure their managed according to his health and stamina as much as his contribution or play. He was never their answer.
Absolutely great article on yahoo sports a few days ago about how pathetic Lebron is. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-lebroncavs051210
Either the author lost money on the game, or he simply does not like Lebron because he calls him out real good. And, IMO, he's 100% correct in everything he says.
Oh, and Go Lakers!

Oh I wasn't putting this whole deal on Shaq by any means, only stating that it's probably time he hung up the sneakers. I think Cleveland is just snakebit as a sports town, they just can't get over the hump. I do not agree that Lebron is as good as Michael Jordon like alot of people say. Maybe someday, but that day hasn't came yet.
Jordon had the uncanny abilty to almost ALWAYS get it done when it really mattered, very few players in history has his track record on such games. The man was just unreal and was heads and above Lebron James at this point in their careers. Jordon also made others around him superstars, Pippen, Grant, Cartwright were all better because of Michael, Lebron has that trait but it's not as strong as Jordon's was. When you absolutely had to have a bucket or loose the game the man would just flat out get it done for ya, time and time again.

Re: ONeil / Cavs
The Cavs need a COACH. Lebron has no help at all and the best player on the planet can only take you so far. Shaq does need to retire. Lakers will win it again because unlike Lebron, Kobe has help. Celtics win tonight, get killed by the Magic, Suns get killed by the Lakers, Lakers kill the Magic and another title for Jackson, Kobe and the rest of the Lakers. Sort of like Nascar and Jimmy Johnsons dominance, the Lakers win another title, HO HUM!!!!
Always was a Tubby fan and still am. I don't recall Rondo tearing it up in college. Remember an extremely talented guard that could not hit a shot outside of 15 feet or even a free throw for the matter. Sort of a rich man's Wayne Turner to me in college but really blossomed in the pros. Some kids are better pros than college, some are better college than pro players.

Dang that was a hard article on lebron. Go magic!

Re: ONeil / Cavs
Any more, Shaq is just a complimentary big man coming off the bench. He can only play in 7 or 8 minute increments. The rest of the Cavs besides Lebron are not that good in my opinion, but their achievements look good on paper. Who else on that team even invokes the slightest amount of fear? Mo Williams? Verejo or whatever his name is?
Mike Brown is not great on the offensive end of things. My prediction is the Lebron/Cleveland era ends tonight in BeanTown.
Welcome to Chicago Lebron.............

Re: ONeil / Cavs
Brown is a great defensive coach and when the team listens to him and buckles down on D they win. When they don't they can loose big. I think he's a real decent coach, but James does need help. Williams is good, but it's just not enough.

I watched the game....Boston played as a team. They used a lot of fouls but it didn't iimpact them that bad.

Good point Billy, nothing was cheap for Cleveland last night, they had to earn every bucket the hard way. Boston is a mean team, they come at you hard.
