Elnut back in the hospital...
Some of you have called me in the past couple of days and left messages for me. I have spotty service for I am back in UK Hospital. I have been here since Friday and hopefully will be going home in the next couple of days. Internal bleeding is the problem and I have lost a bunch of blood. They have given me 4 units and my levels are better plus the bleeding has slowed down a bunch today. I will have to wait and see about the next couple of days. Later elnut
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Hi Elnut, I am glad to hear that they are taking care of you now and you are getting some blood. I hope they discover the reason for the bleeding and stop it. Are you on blood thinners by any chance? They are probably not a good idea. I hope you get all fixed up so you can be without pain and get back to living life again. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.:)

I am not on any blood thinners and have not been for a couple of years now, and even then it was only for 6 months when I started having collapsed lungs and blood clots were the problem. They don't know where I am bleeding out from and are hoping my body stops on its own because of the difficulty and fear of the surgery. Thanks for the prayers, hopefully my body will stop bleeding internally and I can go home soon. Elnut
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Not going home anytime soon. Blood levels getting worse and they don't know where I am bleeding at. 2 procedures planned for Tuesday to scope from the top down and bottom up in hopes of finding where the blood is coming from. Until then, just keep bleeding and wishin I was home or even better wishin I was fishin with my wife and son on Ky Lake. Later

Hang tough man. Let me now if you need any of my blood. We'll just hook it up straightline.
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Good idea, Mr Shadtrap to give blood to Elnut. If I lived in Kentucky I would do that too as I have 0- and I can give blood to everybody.:)

Bring that 4lb Eagle Claw Mono line / 4lb diameter 200lb test, Red Craft Hair and some Duck Feathers to sew me back up. Maybe they can imbed a FNF jig pattern into my stomache sort of like a tattoo.
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
That garlic scented fish dope might do the trick.
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Hang tough man. Hopefully they can get this figured out soon. I wish you the best. Get well soon. If you need anything at all, just yell.
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Scope tomorrow down my throat and thru my pouch into my small intestine, scope tomorrow in thru my feeding tube into my old stomache and into my intesting and a colonoscopy to scope from the bottom up. Should be fun having pretty much every major orface on my body with cameras probing. All this to find out where the bleeding is happening and the actual fixing of the bleed will come afterwords. It stinks but it has to be done and I have no other option.
Re: Elnut back in the hospital...
Sorry to hear about your problems. My companion also has a blood loss problem, last year she needed 12 units over several visits, she just got out of the hospital saturday after getting 3 units, she's been scoped and everything, taking procrit shots, iron transfusionsm and thereas not much I can do to ease her pain or help her feel better,Keep your spirits up,some one will find a cause and a cure.
