need help with lake jericho
ive never been there but taking some family members there on tuesday what do i need to bring or fish with i dont know anything about the lake or whats in it .does anybody fish it or should i not go ? any info would be Great just really looking for gills or crappie maybe some cats if nothing else ,,thx F1
Re: need help with lake jericho
There is a lot of grass in the lake, a topwater frog would be good for bass. The bluegill are average size, a popeye/waxworm combo works well. The crappie run small in the lake, but it has a good population of channel cat. This is a pretty good lake for a family outing, you should have no trouble getting some action. It is also a clean, well kept recreational area!
Re: need help with lake jericho
I fish Jericho quite often. My son and I took home 31 crappie today and cought several decent bass yesterday (5/22/2010). I'll agree with Bassin Bruce a popeye wax worm combo or small tube wax worm combo...either way you won't go wrong. If your fishing from the bank, I wouldn't expect to see any size on the gills. The crappie seem to run consistently small and plentiful so any bank should work. However the point at the ramp seems to be a pretty good spot. My son always throws a jig while I'm getting the boat ready and usually buckets a few crappie before we get started
Redworms and a cork will work also!
