One Shot One Kill
Don, Splitshot and others if you get a chance to see this show on the History channel watch it. It's about snipers and long distance recorded kill shots in battle. Last night they did the story of Carlos Hathcock shooting the NV sniper through the scope through the eye.
Also recreated the mile and half shot made by the Canadian sniper on a Afghan Taliban.
Cool stuff check it out if you get a chance. Alot of balistic info and cool explosive ammo.
That souped up 50 Cal they have has an explosive head round they can shoot through Concrete block walls and eliminate the enemy on the other side, UH UH, I'm getting chills.

Re: One Shot One Kill
I have seen the show twice and it rocks! I would give my big toe to have one of those 50 cal.

Ryan, that is one bad unit. I would love to have one to, you could flat mess some stuff up with that weapon.
You are right that show totally rocks!

Re: One Shot One Kill
Long Range ballistics is one of my many firearms related passions... this show is awesome. If you guys ever get to read marine Sniper by Charles Hendreson, do it. It is a narrative of Carlos Hathcocks life in VietNam...
While I am all for .50 cal sniper rifles... its just not my thing.. I am a .308 man to the bone...

Re: One Shot One Kill
That .308 is a bad Mojo to. It has the same Kinetic energy at a 1000 yards as a 357 magnum at point blank range, that ain't chump change boys.

Re: One Shot One Kill
Dang I would like to see that! I'll have to search for it. Thanks

Do you shoot at that? I thought abut it after getting my CCDW but never pulled the trigger (). I was thinking about doing it at the BGSL for starters.
I got me one of those 30-06 bad boys...

Re: One Shot One Kill
I have shot it a few times. Its really fun and cheap. And being production guns, you can be pretty competitive if you take yoru time and hit every target instead of trying to rush through. There are a few guys there that are really into it, but not a lot. One guy shoots wheel guns and he has a full on competition rig, he is freakin fast..

Re: One Shot One Kill
The book Marine Sniper is an excellent book. It has been 15 or 20 years ago since I read it. It is a good read.
That show was on last night on History around 9:00. It is worth your time to find it and watch it.
Another good show is The History of Us. It is also on the History Channel.
