More of the same great action on Dale Hollow
The Big girls have moved out over deep water and they are still looking up.Two week ends ago the water temps were around 70 but after all the heat the the surface temp is up to around 80 which has driven them deeper. They are still looking up so that means hot top water action over deep water. There is nothing like seeing a big smallie crush your bait on top from 30 foot down without putting on the brakes. They come 2 feet plus out of the water and then hold on,they are still pulling hard.Soon they won't be looking up anymore so go get'em.....http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00565.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00622.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00515.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00628-1.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00624.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00626.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00522.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00525.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00528.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00529.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00532.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00533.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00534.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00568.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00541.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00563.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00564.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00570.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00567.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00566.jpg <a href="http://s467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/?action=view¤t=DSC00542.jpg http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/DSC00542.jpg The trout have also been slamming it in great numbers 20 to 40 a day but no real good ones until this week. The had all been under 2 1/2 lbs, good eaters.I got my first one of the year over 8 lbs..... Re: More of the same great action on Dale Hollow
I forgot to mention,On my Wednesday trip around lunch time we were along the wall between Kyle and Indian and I saw a smallie bust bait in the cut and within seconds there had to be ten to 15 smallies at once irrupting in the whole cut and as fast as they appeared they were gone.I've never seen this sort of thing before in early June.If it had been September I would have had a spook on a spinning reel on the roof, ready. You never know what you will see out there.
Re: More of the same great action on Dale Hollow
First week in June a few years ago on Dale I got into one of the meanest Jumps I've ever been in ever in my life. For 45 minutes to an hour I busted Smallmouth, good ones, Largemouth and some magnum Spots. I was in 70 feet of water and way off the bank and catching the snot out of them on top with Spooks and Sammy's. I told this story back when it happened and had a few guys on here all but call me a liar saying that, this kinda thing NEVER happens in June on the Hollow. Well it did that day and I even went back to that same area the next morning and while it wasn't as good as the day before there were half as many fish doing the same thing again.
Morale of the story I believe you, seen it before. I will never forget that jump it was nuts.
