Anybody remember the debate afew years ago
about who was the best qb Brian Brohm or Andre Woodson? I am pretty sure Mills was sold on Woodson as far superior than Brohm and he was joined by a couple of others. Well, Brohm got drafted in the second round and is competing for a starting job at Buffallo while Woodson never made an active roster in the NFL and is now competing for a starting job with the Hartford Colonials of the UFL. I guess that settles that debate. While Borhm, Chris Redman and Hunter Cantwell are playing in the big leagues, here is a story about Woodson.

Re: Anybody remember the debate afew years ago
This kid sounds like he "Knew it all", except, that THERE were some things in his game that he needed to improve, and simply didn't our couldn't. Too BAD.
Seems like he was a pretty **** good QB, but the scouts picked something up, and he either couldn't or was unwilling to change it.
I hope he makes the adjustments necessary and makes a team. Sounds like it is going to be a tough road though.
Later,
Geo

Woodson is actually a very good young man and well spoken. I hope he makes it on a team. I like Brohm but he will never be a legit NFL quarterback, he's way too slow. I bet 10 thousand dollars I can out run him. Pocket QB's are great on the right team, but without the right O line you will get killed and throw picks. He'll get creamed on the Bills, they ****.
Re: Anybody remember the debate afew years ago
Don't misunderstand guys, I covered Woodson when he was in high school playing both football and basketball and he was exactly as Mark described, well spoken and a very polite, nice young man. I just never saw the NFL potential that many did. I too hope he makes it back to the big leagues, because he is a good guy.

He is faster than Chris Redman and Chris has had a nice career. The one that suprises me is Hunter Cantwell, doing a good job so far. Cantwell is proof that Kragthorpe was a bad football coach in my book. Look what he did under Petrino as a back up and starting a few games, compared to what he did as the full time starter under He Who's Name Shall Not Be Mentioned.
BTW Mark, I will take your 10 grand in a heartbeat. Brohm is faster than you think, you just don't realize the speed of these big athletic guys he plays against. No way could you out run Brohm and he can probably drink more beer than you as well LOL!

Well set it up big boy I ain't skeered. I use to be able to smoke. 10.4 in the hundred. Now I still run 3.7 miles every other day and the speed isn't there like it use to be, but I still ain't skeered and I darn sure ain't worried about him out drinking me in beer, I have a Doctrine in that field, lol.
