Anyone know any good carp spots?
Does anyone know any good spots to fish for carp within an hour drive of Louisville? I used to fish the Salt River when I was a kid and I caught some big carp. That's what got me hooked on fishing. I'm trying to get my 12 year old son into fishing and I'm hoping a big carp may do it.
Re: Anyone know any good carp spots?
Taylorsville Lake has a bunch of them in the upper end. That's basically the Salt River, though.

The Van Buren ramp is close to where I saw them, but they were hanging out in water that was only 1-2ft deep. Not real sure that's navigable for most boats.

A few years ago, I waded Harrod's Creek and carp is all I saw. I was fishing either where it passes under 329 or 393; I don't remember which. But I think it was 393 because I remember driving past horse farms to get there.
