Never been that high up Barren Lake before. Can I safely run a bass boat up that far?

That is not likely. If you could possibly get that far upriver you would be dealing with lots of shallow water, shallow rocks, stumps, etc. I have been within sight of the holland bridge, in my aluminum boat, where the ramp is located, but was unable to make it over the final 2 or 3 riffles. That was when the river was at 10 ft over summer and it is now below that. A jon boat could do it, altough you might have to do some wading. Also it is approximately 8 miles from Browns Ford ramp. Good luck.
Nope. I can wade across it in many places both above and below the bridge.
This ramp joins our farm and is basically in my front yard and it is crazy what we see trying to put in there. This ramp is basically a place to put a jon boat or canoe in. I've saw all kinds of boats trying to put in there. We just use it to put in or take out when floating the river. We just use a trolling motor or paddle. The river up here is just too small to run outboards in. Alot of the riffles can't be gotten over with a tunnel hull and jet drive.
