Sauger are hard to come by this time of year.I won't start back targeting sauger and walleye until mid October.

I dont plan to fish the dam until october, but this will be my first time at markland and i dont know where the bait is. Where do you go for bait.

There is a bait shop next to the Shell station right by the dam on the Indiana side. He has irregular hours. He used to just be open on Fridays and the weekends, but the last couple of times I've been past he has been open during the week.

Thanx for the info on the bait shop. I'll be headed that way next month. Hope he's open when I get there or the white twister tail jigs will have to do.

there is a bait shop on hwy 42 before you get to warsaw its called sargent sissys if you are coming from lex. on 75 and hit 71 south then you will want to get off on exit 63 ? 64? its the hwy 127 exit go north for abbout 2 to 3 miles and you wil hit 42 at sugar creek take a left and the bait shop is about a mile or so on the right
