I would definitely use Dave's fishing report as a starting point. That being said, I fish the north end of the lake most of the time. Sledd Creek (just south of the the Dam) is one of my favorite bays on the North end - I would definitely fish in there, and may try the back 1/3 of it in the mornings with some topwater. Most of the bays down the West side to Big Bear are pretty good. Big Bear and Little Bear have always been good to me.
Not really sure how far you willing to travel on the water - but the LBL side is my favorite - especiall Smith, Sugar and Duncan. If you are planning on being down here a few days and don't want to travel that far on the water - I would definitely trailer down to one of those and fish them for a day. Sugar has a decent ramp (no courtesy dock), but still manageable by yourself. It is a gravel road leading to the ramp - so you may get a little dusty if it hasn't rained in a few days.
