Re: Fish kill on Salt River
[QUOTE=Tim_T;426977]Appears to have started up around Mill Creek and stretches all the way to the First St. Park in Shepherdsville. I was at the park yesterday while KDFWR was there investigating. lots of dead fish. Some paddle fish and tons of silver carp, didn't see any sport fish and KDFWR said they only found two dead smallmouth up near the Shepherdsville ramp. They believe the low oxygen and high temperatures caused the water to stratify. Here is a link to the local paper.

Tim how big were the paddlefish?? just curious. Chuck
Re: Fish kill on Salt River
Chuck, my guess would be 10-17 pounds. The funny thing is, no locals realized the spoonbills were this far up the river.

Back in the early 80's I caught several as far up as Mt.Washington in Floyds Fork. The Ohio was alot dirtier back then and it amazed me!

Haulin, it shouldn't have anything to do with the lake. It started several miles down stream of the dam!
