Looking to be a Co-Angler in Louisville...
Hey you all I am Patrick and I moved up here to the Louisville area last year, and now live on the river in Jeffersonville, IN. I come from South Carolina where the fishing was great, big largemouth, lot of lakes around, and I had several friends/ relatives with bass boats and I would go out and we would win money doin what we love. But I guess what I am saying is I am gettin kinda homesick but am not moving back anytime soon, but I would like to get back into tournament fishing up here (if it exists?). So if you are in the Louisville area and ever feel like you want a partner or just want to go out and do some fishing just let me know. I will pay my half of everything/ tourney fees, whatever. Just let me know. To be honest I really just miss the hell out of bass fishing and it would do me some good to get back out there! Been workin too much lately lol!
Thanks.
Re: Looking to be a Co-Angler in Louisville...
Welcome, There are several good bass lakes around. Pick up your Ky map and look at the lakes within an hour or 2 off of 65 south. Shoot me a PM and I would be glad to take you out some time.
Re: Looking to be a Co-Angler in Louisville...
Welcome to teh site. There is a LOT of bass tourneys in the area. On any given weekend there is a tourney at almost every lake in the state. I dont own a boat or I would be happy to take you out and get you on the water. BUt with the way guys on this site are, you will have more than one guy willing to take you out once they get to know you. On occasion there is a guy on here looking for a co-angler for local BFL and USA Bassin tournaments....
A list of lakes to look at...
In Ky,
Barren River Res.
Rough River Res.
Green River Res.
Nolin River Res.
Guist Creek Res.
Taylorsville Lake
IN Indiana
Patoka
Hardy
Monroe
Also consider smaller lakes you can bank fish from. A lot of em in Louisville... and i may join you if i can at those lakes. Some gtood river fishin if you can afford to buy a kayak as well in both KY and IN... Blue River in Indiana comes to mind right off. IN KY Green River, Barren River, Nolin Tailwaters, KY river all come to mind in driving distance for you...
If you ever wanna go fish The Green River from a canoe for Bass and Muskie, i might be interested in splittin the rental...
Again welcome to teh site,... these are great guys...
Re: Looking to be a Co-Angler in Louisville...
Welcome to the area and the site. You should find good fishing around. The only thing we probably don't have that you would have had in North Carolina is surf fishing/ocean fishing. You should not want for advice on the site and not want for places to wet a line in Kentucky or Indiana.
Re: Looking to be a Co-Angler in Louisville...
Do you happen to have any time in the military? I am wanting to fish these military tournaments but dont have a partner for that. You had to have served in the military at some time in your life.
