Ok how often is a Black man fired for voicing his opinion? This just amazes me. Al Sharpton, Jesse J. And many others have said far worse. I guess NPR just has their own rules huh???Tsk tsk

I thought he was spanish and I was surprised with the politicially correct world you live it they would never fire a spanish man. I think it was also cuz he was on Bill O'Reilly show and now all those women on The View hate O'Reilly and since they cant get him fired they put pressure to get his guest fired. Thats what I think on it. I bet Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg carry alot of power and money in those circles. Poor guy that got fired should write a book and make millions. All he was doing was voicing his personal opinion and his fears. I guess their is no freedom of speech in America anymore.:( How sad.
He may be Spanish I really don't know but as you mentioned it is odd that He cannot mention his opinion without such a backlash. Of course you are free to say what you want if your black... Just being a minority isn't good enough.
Freedom of speech is alive and well but you have to be either a democrat or black.
I am sure the extreme liberals are very happy that the oppressed black minority is finally able to stand up and say their peace. While the whites and others minorities (not the Muslims) are treated like 2nd class citizens. Sounds like reverse racism and prejustice to me and that is nothing to be proud of in my opinion. People should be treated as equals no matter what colour their skin is. If someone has an opinion then they should have the freedom to voice it whether it is politically correct or not. Personally I have no desire to take a plane to Washington or New York city as they are big targets for terrorists. That scares me.
Sounds like NPR doesn't care about the First Amendment!

You guys are just cracking me up! Obviously you haven't read the whole story, just enough to evoke your usual knee-jerk reaction. Well, sorry to break this to you, but guess what? JUAN WILLIAMS IS BLACK!!
2 points to be made...
Whoopi Goldberg actually condemned NPR on teh view for firing him. All media both left and right leaning is standing behind Juan williams.
The other point is that he signed a deal worth $2mil a year with Fox News today...

He looked black to me so I said he was in the original post. It didn't matter to me if he was black, mexican or from Jamaica. What my whole point is on this story is that he isnt white and was fired for statements he made.....pretty unusual wouldn't you say?? Sorry if that wasn't clear enough for you and maybe just a little too knee jerk reaction like for you.
