FNF ....Fishing For Fun??
Everyone thinks Woody is joking. I think he is serious. The extreme heat this summer burnt one too many brain cells from poor ole Woody. It will be below freezing soon. All my gear is ready to go. temps in the single digits a little freezing rain mean fish on!
It is a good thing Cumberland and Dale doesn't have a lot of trees and bushes next to the water because FNF to Elwood is "Fishing for Flying Squirrels"
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to early yet boys. Water ain't even right for my spinnerbait bite yet. Several good patterns to go through before you see any 50 degree water..:)

That's what I was thinking. Hell, I haven't even seen a topwater bite at some lakes yet

It is a BETTER thing the trees and bushes are not in the water because you would spend all day long netting LOG SALMONS!!

I fished Sunday and the water temp was 68 all day. The bigger fish are still on the main lake. I caught a keeper smallie on a shaded channel bank on lower end of the lake. This fish came off a jig in about 20ft of water. The bite is picking up but I'm really holding out for that magical 55 deg water temp. I'm thinking that maybe by black Friday the water will be closer to that 55 deg bite. We should all hit the lake early the day after thanksgiving and let the ladies do the shopping. What do u guys say? I will meet you on the water
