I've been told to put vaseline on your rod eyes to keep them from iceing up? Anyone tried this?
My experience has been that it helps a little bit.
How about folks keeping in mind that this is a family site and keeping the off topic/inappropriate comments to themselves.

never treied vaseline but pam cooking spray works really well. It does however leave a bit of sticky film on it.
You can also spray Reel Magic on the guides as well....
Reel magic or automotive spray on silicone should do the trick.
