Joe Thomas & Ultimate Match Fishing
Anyone do any good with the Somerset Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce ??? He's interested in doing a couple of shows on Laurel & Cumberland around the last week of March & the first week of April. Be pretty cool IMO to see a couple of major pros battling it out on these two lakes. If anyone can do any good with them please do & post or pm.

These are not private bodies of water. Why does he need permission?

That is exactly right. Why would the want to do a show on Laurel. Cumberland I can see because of the money in the area assosiated with the lake. But Laurel come on they would'nt catch enough fish to make it interesting.
Re: Joe Thomas & Ultimate Match Fishing
I would have to disagree about not catching fish on Laurel. If they go there in March or early april and I bet there will be alot of good fish caught. Now if they tried to do the show in July then I would agree with you 100%.
Re: Joe Thomas & Ultimate Match Fishing
Pittsburg Marine tourney last March took over 20Lb fpr thr top five & over 27Lb for first. Five fish limit. Laurel is usually very hot that time of year.
Re: Joe Thomas & Ultimate Match Fishing
Wrong about Laurel. I've seen plenty of 25lb sacks there. My personal best came out of that lake prefishing for a BFL in April a couple years ago and it was a couple ozs from 9lbs. I was sick needless to say since I needed it for the next day.
