Is she froze like a brick??? Getting the cabin fever and may be able to go tom afternoon.

I'm sitting here wondering the same thing...I expect it is now....maybe this rain in the next few days and the snow melt will clear it out ...hopefully it won't get high enough to muddy the ramp too much....today would have been a great day to have been able to get out for a few hours.....I did drive past carnico and it wasn't frozen solid but did have a lot of ice on it.
I used to fish Carnico when I was a kid with my grandpa for cats across from the beach at night. My wife and I drove up there last summer to look at the lake. Clear and pretty from what I seen. How is the bass fishing there? The ramp is daylight to dark? I caught a 19 inch largemouth there when I was 12 or so off a rattletrap from the bank. One of the best memories I have fishing with my grandpa. We caught 25-30 cats that night from 2am til daybreak.

The lake seems to have a reputation for producing catfish but I'm not a catfisherman so don't know first hand...There are a few guys I know who like bass fishing there, I'm not one of them though...the lake does seem to produce some fish in the 5 or 6 pound range every year but it seems to be short on the "fun bass"...the 10 or 12 fish days seem to be few and far between......I enjoy croppie fishing there though....it seems there always some croppie to be caught..even in last summers heat wave there always seemed to be enough croppie to keep you entertained....I enjoy bass fishing stoner creek but have a tough time locating croppie there after they move out of the shallows in the spring but i guess I have had more good bass fishing days on the creek than most anywhere.Stoner creek is a good fishery and it don't cost an arm and a leg to get there.
If Robbie is around somewhere maybe he can give us an update on the creek condition.
Hey fellas, sorry I've been out of town and have no idea what shape the ramp or the creek is in down @ Fryman's. If I can get some free time after the ballgame today I may sneak down there for a couple hours to wet a line. Either of you heading out there today?
I would like to but I am affraid she is muddy or froze over. Need to get my sanity back and out of the house for a while before the girls drive me crazy. Forgot about the 12PM game today.

After posting my last thread I looked and seen she has camp up a foot since yesterday. Flowing at 14.5 this morning with normal at 13.6. Killed that idea.
Hey guys....I just came past the creek at frymans and it isn't frozen solid but it still has too much ice on it to fish....still iced over right at the launch ramp...oh well....maybe in the next couple of weeks it will straighten up...not supposed to get back in the deep freeze like it was earlier acording to the long range weather forcast anyway....shame this weather cant last for a week or two...I guess march isn't too far away.
