Electric Outboard Motor (not trolling motor)
I was in Florida last week and got to use an electric outboard motor. This was not a trooling motor as I first thought, but am actual outboard that was able to get the 12 ft jon boat on plane !!! Impressive. I was running a Torqudo which is powered by a lithium battery pack which snaps on top of the motor similar to a gas tank. No automotive batteries needed. Although the range is limited to 5 miles or so it would be great for those electric only lakes and subdivision lakes even to power a pontoon. This motor leaves all the trooling motors (even the 36V) in its'wake. If i was going to fish an electric only tournament this would be a HUGE advantage over the trolling motors. By the way I am not a dealer, rep or have any advertising interest just thought that this was pretty cool

looks pretty cool. bet it costs a fortune
Re: Electric Outboard Motor (not trolling motor)
@$1699 it's very competitive with a comparable gas motor

Yeah, I live near an electric only lake, and looked at this. I would never spend that much on a boat with no outboard, but is an awesome idea.
