Lake of the Ozarks
Sorry if this is in the wrong area, didnt know where the Missouri questions belong. I am taking a friend to Lake OZ the first week of March to practice for a bass tournament. We have never seen the lake. Any help on what areas of the lake warm first and methods would really be appreciated. What is the predominant fish? Smallmouth, largemouth, spots? Thanks in advance

Re: Lake of the Ozarks
North East banks warm first. The lake is dock heaven which warm quickly, Largemouths are the predominate bass species. The area around PB2 is where the majority of the tourneys go out of. I usually fish around 3 mile marker in the cove to the North, it is a huge cove with every type of structure you need. Jerk baits in March, alot of guys run up the river I never have - although I have spent considerable amount of time in the Gravois Mill arm. It's a great lake and bank beater friendly for sure!
