Re: American Made
All i can say is good luck. I have a buddy who manufactures fishing tackle and he says it is darn near impossible to assemble a bait that has all american made components in it. He said about the only way to use a 100% American made bait was to use hand poured plastics or to carve your own crank baits.

Re: American Made
I feel the same way Lunkerbustin. Here are a few. Ardent reels in Missouri and Vicious line in Alabama.

Re: American Made
Not sure about other manufacturers but St. Croix Rods Premier, Avid and Legend Lines are made in Wisconsin. Their Triumph and Mojo lines are made in Mexico.
Not sure about lures and line. Good to know about Ardent and Vicious!

Here's a link for anyone interested in Fly Fishing Reels http://www.tiborreel.com/
There was also an article on abc news online today that made mention of various made in the USA products...very little of it has to do with fishing except for the link I provided above, but it's still worth a look for anyone interested in trying to buy USA goods. Check it out > http://abcnews.go.com/WN/page?id=12896382

Re: American Made
I have really found it hard to buy anything made in the USA but I'm trying. I just think it makes more sense to spend American money in America. I think I have the line figured out now what about hooks?

Re: American Made
BUY EVERYTHING FROM ME!
I live in American, pay American taxes that benefit other Americans, and only sell stufff I bought or stole from someone in America.
I HAVE NEVER SHOPPED AT A WALMART IN JAPAN, CHINA, OR MEXICO.

I once dated a Candian chick who had a Romanian father and Panamanian mother. I think that made her a CRAP.

Re: American Made
Even if it's made overseas, you still are supporting the American importer, the American Distributor, the American driving the truck to get it to the store, the American that stocks the shelves, and the American that runs the check-out counter.
I'm just not too sensitive to it, because if you buy it here, the state sales tax is pure American, and the store you buy it from is in in good ole USA.
