NetFlix
I just tried this service and it's pretty cool. I always poo pooed the idea of having such a service but man I like it so far. I watched some stuff on the puter over the weekend while piddling in the garage and have a DVD being sent now.
I picked "the blind Side" based upon you guys giving it such good reviews.:)
Once I send this back they will send the next one on my list. Pretty cool. Anyone else try it?

Re: NetFlix
I've been a subscriber for about a year. I watch more of them streaming now than I do the discs.
We don't watch network TV so we wait until a good series is over and then we watch all the episodes in a short period of time. We've done that with the Sopranos and Lost.

Re: NetFlix
Used to have blockbuster online which is teh same thing. I loved it when i lived in Somerset and didnt have cable. Problem is that after about a year they run out of things to put on your list. Im gonna try netflix again and ditch satelite and cable to save some money... i have a PS3 so i can stream right to my HD tv.

Re: NetFlix
Was a subscriber for years, watched many series, Homicide, sopranos,24, and a lot more, am going to go back again soon, but having so many red boxes around, also makes it difficult to choose

Exactly what I did. I have to get a ps3 remote because I hate the controller for navigating netflix.

Re: NetFlix
Been a subscriber for over a year now. Have watched from the computer a few times, but mainly just watch the DVDs. Pretty handy deal.
Many tvs now are being built with wireless internet capabilities already installed, so if you have a wireless router you can access the internet/netfilx without the PS3.
Planning to get a new tv this fall with that built in option. :)

Now that is a great idea. I have to replace my living room tv in the near future and that will be an option I'll look for!

Re: NetFlix
Heather can watch the Netflix on her dang cell phone.
I'm not really much of a movie watcher because most bore the heck out of me.
However recently discovered that Netflix has a lot of Hot Rod Magazine and automotive videos. Two thumbs up on that stuff!
Heck I just thought about looking to see if they have fishing shows, going to go see.

I'm in the same boat - just saving up for it!
Here's a link to what I'm looking at:

May try and get a tv and the Vizio router at Sam's Club.

Re: NetFlix
I've actually had an old laptop hooked up to my Big Screen LCD TV for years. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse on the coffee table and can surf the internet from the couch....or watch streaming video like Netflix, ESPN3 or whatever.
For Netflix, though, I usually just watch using our Nintendo WII.
