I caught bass the last two weekends. On the 19th it is muddy about 1ft clarity and water was in the low 40s and we caught a dozen or so and I had 3 fish over 15in the biggest over 3lbs. Last weekend we caught a few short fish before getting rained out.
Just look for fish in warmer creek arms that have baitfish and fish slow. And fish shallow even if its in the 40s if its muddy fish will be shallow.

Its feast of famine we had to hit the right creek arm. Either we caught several or nothing.
I don't think everyone is looking for those conditions. I know personally I don't want to waste time and gas to go to a lake that has almost zero visibility. Not to mention all the floaters and debris in the lake after flood conditions. I live an hour away from any lake. Thats two hours of driving if I go down and find the lake in bad shape. Plus cold muddy water equals a very low chance of catching fish. All of this is coming from a guy that was at Cumberland last year after all the rain. I threw a 1oz Chart. Spinnerbait for 8 hours. I couldn't see that spinnerbait two inches down. I'm as hardcore as they come when it comes to fishing. I fished in 10 degree weather this winter with about two inches of snow on my deck. I guess for me its just not worth the risk of tearing up something on my boat when I could just wait until the water stabilizes a bit and go out and enjoy the day without the worries.

Not to mention the less time you have to spend reeling fish in, the more time you have to drink the cold beer
My next door neighbor came home last night from a lake in indiana-wouldnt tell me where with 6 bass over 15 inces--biggest 5 lb. Caught on a blk/blue hair jig with a watermelon/red plastic trailer.

Lake or pond??? Ponds are better fishing right now....smaller=warmer!
