Was doing a lot of running around today for a tournament prep trip. I was in Jonathan this morning and water is heavily stained to muddy from the back of the creek to about 2/3 of the way from the 68 bridge to the main lake. Saw 3 boats Crappie fishing over the bruch piles near the 68 bridge...not sure if they were catching anything...all were spider rigging.
Saw one guy Crappie fishing in the front part of Duncan Bay over brush in about 20 ft of water...saw him pull two nice Crappie up while spider rigging. Water there was clear to slightly stained.
Water level today is 3.6 ft over winter pool and projected to rise another foot by midnight Wednesday. One inch of rain is forecasted for tomorrow afternoon and evening. A weather statement has been issued for Wednesday with a chance of strong thunderstorms Wednesday (50%) with frontal passage....cooling temperatures in the afternoon. S winds will be up on Wednesday.
If those winds start blowing, be careful out there guys, they can cause very deadly waves if coming from the right direction.
